Colonisation & the Body

About the programme

In celebration of this year's Women's History Month, Skaped will be running a series of workshops all about decolonising the body. This is a free creative series dedicated to unravelling the cycles of oppression, fostering body liberation and empowerment through the arts.

The programme will end with a Collective Culminating Exhibition at Bermondsey Project Space happening the first week of April. A call-out for art submissions will be out soon, watch this space + follow us on our socials to enter your art piece!

About this event

Colonisation & the Body Workshop

A 2 hour introductory creative workshop that explores the impact of colonisation on our individual bodies. Together we'll engage in a hands-on educational experience as we launch our series, setting the stage for a journey of self-discovery and understanding. We'll refelct on the way colonisation has impacted our own lives, and how it continues to do so.
