Leaders In The Community Workshop

Arranged by Leaders in the community and Skaped to run a two days workshop on Human Rights at the Teviot centre.  We had explored our own cultural background and share some of our own stories. This had opened a great debate and the young people started to talk about issues they see in their community from catcalling, depression and strictly same race marriage.

We then moved to talk about Human Rights issues and privacy and the young people got very engaged within this topic and they much welcome the role-play session and they started to share and reflect on their lives. The young people started to warm up by the end of the second sessions.

we received feedbacks such as:

  • “Learnt a lot to be honest and participate in fun interesting activities” 18 years old girl.

  • “I have improved my conversation skills with others”17 years old boy
